Nam Shani Social Development Organization is a non-governmental organization. The organization was established on November 20, 2009 and is based in Putao in Kachin State. Nam Shani is open to working together with any organization that is interested in supporting the health, education and socio-economic sectors for regional development in Putao District. Nam Shani cooperates with all for the development of the nation.

• To increase the awareness and capacity of the communities in Putao region and participate in sustainable regional development activities

• To preserve and protect natural resources for sustainability

• To effectively carry out local development activities by networking and coordinating with various relevant groups

• To plan and implement programs based on the analysis of the situation of the region

• To empower indigenous people to fashion their own destiny and to foster a sustainable community.
